Traveling Through A Network
I do this a lot for my job at home and on deployment. Before we sail out, we have to build servers on laptops that can host our maintenance tracking program. We typically create our own IP addresses. For example, the server IP address would be created as 10.7.245.13, and the computers we are going to use on that server would have similar IPs such as 10.7.245.14, 15, 16. This way, when we ping the server IP, we send and receive packets, knowing they are in cahoots with each other. Sometimes, they do not, and it's usually an error with the host file or a .ini file.
I attempted to ping my job's IP, but there wasn't a response. We often see this error as: "There is no endpoint listening at .....".
I also tried to ping Reddit with the Japanese extension. I thought Reddit was a platform that would be available worldwide, but I could be wrong. However, I did find this traceroute to be very interesting! It gave a warning that this domain has multiple IP addresses.
Of course, with Google, the connection was succeeded!

It's as if your data decided to take a supersonic jet to Japan but got stuck in traffic on the way to the corner store.
